A Malibu Landmark Re-imagined

Originally developed in the 1970’s as a private recreation club, the property was a popular destination for locals and Hollywood celebrities. This unique recreational property is now protected by the non-profit Nature Trust of the Santa Monica Mountains and is being lovingly restored as a hiking-based, health and fitness retreat. Your participation in our week long wellness program supports the ongoing restoration and stewardship of this unique, hundred-acre nature preserve.

Nicholas Canyon's healing and restorative powers have been recognized from the origin of human contact with the land, beginning with the Chumash Indians 10,000 years ago. The story is told that during the Chumash period this was a place that people would migrate to for healing. The folklore continued into the early part of the twentieth century when people living and working the land referred to the canyon as "God's Little Pocket." We hope you to come to find this special place as relaxing and rejuvenating as those who have come here for thousands of years before you.
